Our Work
Addressing Food Insecurity
Food insecurity among communities requires assistance from time to time. Distribution of dry ration was undertaken to reach out to resource poor families after conducting a thorough needs assessment.
Exploring Food Security
A pilot to support resource-poor families is underway in Mizoram. Understanding the high demand for broiler chicken meat, DCI supplied 100 broiler chicks including feed to impoverished families living in displaced conditions.
Baseline Survey Report
DCI prepared a Baseline Survey Report for NEIDA to estimate access to basic water, sanitation, hygiene and associated knowledge in Mizoram. The survey covered 2,044 households across five blocks.
Winter Outreach Program
An effort to build relationships with waste pickers and recognize their role in achieving a circular economy. DCI visited municipal waste dump sites to provide awareness on occupational health hazards and social security schemes.
